History: Lilian Alexia Lehnhserr was born the last of the fated Lehnsherr children. She was two when her family split, and did not really remember any of what happened. Whether she blocked it out, or refuses to comment, she claims she has no memory of any of her elder sibblings. She was the pride and joy of her father's eyes, in her he saw the future of mutant kind. No one ever knew why. |
Lily, as she was called, was lead to believe her mother was dead and that she had died in honor as an Acolyte, in the battle for a better world. Lily began to idolize her mother, making it her number one priority to grow up and one day be as brave as her. In essence, that story made her into the woman she was going to be. |
She grew up with her brother Gabriel on Avalon, but found that she spent the majority of her time alone because Gabriel was determined to be the next heir to the Lehnsherr throne. She use to sit out in the gardens and watch earth from the stars, deciding it was the most beautiful thing she had ever saw, and one day would go to it. |
To her father, she was a precious jewel. To the Acolytes and those around her, she was the spawn of the devil. Free-spirited with no control, she would often race around Avalon causing chaos. |
When she recieved the lectures she would often say that she was not a ruler, she wanted to live on earth. To that, the Acolytes would just laugh and ask why she wanted to live on a planet ruled by flatscans. The only one that never seemed to laugh at her for that dream was Gabriel, who more often than not rescued his sister from that. She was determined to prove them wrong. |
At 13 the moment of truth came, and Lily developed her dad's powers. But even more to her horror was the fact, she had more pure raw power in her than her father. Magneto was both shocked and pleased by his daughter's display, even though she then lacked the control she would need. She became the Acolyte codenamed Raven for her dark and spirted personality. Finally the moment of truth came. The Acolytes began to worship Lily much like her father, and at 16 that's when Lily broke. |
She told only Gabriel her plans to leave, and with his aid left Avalon heading for earth. She had no money, no place to go, and no food. With nothing but her clothes, hidden by a black leather trenchcoat she had snarred from Gabriel, she began to live on the run. Her father, learning of her disappearance, sent Acolytes to retrive the princess. Lily was stuck in London England with no place and no way to escape. |
She sold her Acolyte uniform for some money and regular clothes to make her fit in. She dyed the streak from her hair, and hid under a new identity of Angel Garcia after her mother. Unfortunately, she had no way of income, so she used her most valuble skill, her voice. It was then she had her first run-in with Peter Wisdom. |
She had managed to get a job singing for tips at a local pub, where Pete Wisdom happened to be. The Acolytes finally located Lily and bust into the pub, demanding the princess return. Lily refused, and told them in no other terms than to go to hell. Pete Wisdom decided to be a hero and protect Lily, not knowing she was Magneto's daughter nor of her powers. In effect Pete got his butt kicked and Lily ended up saving him and busting out disappearing into the night again. |
From that moment on the two were inseparable and became best friends. They made a life down in New Orleans, doing odd end thieving jobs. Rumor had it she also worked for Sinister at this time, but to what extent is unknown. |
The years after are somewhat of a mystery to everyone but Lily herself. When she was about 18 she vanished from New Orleans and reappeared with the X-Men with the notion her powers were out of control. She spent time with the X-Men and was also found to be back in her father's graces. |
It was with the X-Men that she fell in love with Remy LeBeau. The two were kindred spirits, both living their lives in a secret shadow nobody knew. Shortly after, at the age of 20, Lily and Remy left the X-Men to try and live a normal life . They opened what would be The Five Aces Nightclub, and Lily flew in her pal Pete to bartend the place. Though un-married, Remy and Lily had child known as Erik Tristan Lehnsherr-LeBeau. |
Shortly after they opened the Five Aces, Lily received the final suprise. Her eldest brother Tristan had learned her wereabouts and sought her out. The two successfully reunited, Tristan relocating to New York just for his sister. |
For awhile it appeared that things were finally "normal" for the daughter of Magneto just as she had hoped for so long, but good times never last. Within another year, as the dawn of a new millinieum approached, the rivalry between Lily's old team, the X-Men, and her brother's affiliates, the Hellfire Club, reached a new height. |
Fall of 2000 the X-Men attacked the Sentinals base in Colorado, only to be ambushed by the Inner Circle who had been well aware of the attack. However, Gambit felt an overwhelming sense of duty towards his former team mates and fled from his home, business and new family in New York out to Colorado in hopes of stopping the tyranny of the Hellfire Club. Although just before Remy was to leave, Lily mysteriously disappeared from their Five Aces establishment. |
What happened to Lily is uncertain, but by the time the battle was over she was once again back home unscathed... physically. In the Fall of 2000 her father had been brutally murdered by Selene, the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club with the assistance of Tristan Lehnsherr, Lily's own brother. Many X-Men lost their lives, but the most costly was that of Magneto, her father. |
Lily fell into a deep depression, vowing an oath of silence never to sing again. She was silenced in her sorrow. But things only got worse as Daryl, the Bassist (the world's most powerful psionic), Lily's sister, felt the backlash from Magneto's brutal murder and was thrown into a coma, only to reemerge broken and powerless. And to make matters worse, Gabriel Lehnsherr, the youngest brother, third child of Magneto was slowly going mad from his own depression. |
Lily's home, New Avalon, had been effectively destroyed, right along with her father's dream and her family. Perhaps now more than ever she leaned on Pete Wisdom, her long time friend and confidant, as well as her child, Erik. But the Raven continues her life for her remaining family, trying to stay strong. She hates the Hellfire Club, Selene in particular, with a passion for the destruction of her family and she absolutely refuses to see such a thing ever happen again. "Nevermore." |
